Go to ads.google.com
Sign in with your Google account.
Click on “+ New Campaign”.
Choose your campaign goal. For calls, select:
Leads or Sales → then choose Phone calls.
Enter your business phone number where calls will be directed.
Select Search Campaign (Call campaigns only run on search).
Select Calls as your campaign subtype.
Campaign name: Name it clearly (e.g., “Call Campaign – Chennai Office”).
Networks: Uncheck “Display Network” (keep only Search).
Locations: Target specific cities/regions (e.g., Chennai, India).
Languages: Choose the language of your audience.
Bidding:
Select Maximize Conversions (recommended).
Or Maximize Clicks → then set a max CPC bid limit.
Go to Ads & Extensions → Extensions → Call Extension.
Add your phone number (if not already added).
Set call reporting ON so Google tracks call conversions.
Enter a daily budget (e.g., ₹500–₹2000 depending on your business size).
Google will optimize spend toward driving calls.
Ad Group: Organize by services/products (e.g., Packers Movers Chennai, Packers Movers Velachery).
Keywords: Use intent-based keywords:
“Packers and movers near me”
“Best digital marketing agency Chennai”
“Plumber emergency Chennai”
(Use phrase match and exact match).
Create Call Ads:
Business name (shown on ad).
Phone number (click-to-call).
2 headlines (E.g., “Expert Movers in Chennai”, “Call Now for Free Quote”).
Description (E.g., “Fast, Reliable & Affordable Services. Call 24/7 Now!”).
Display URL (e.g., www.metrocitypackers.com).
⚡ Note: Unlike normal search ads, users cannot click through to your site – they only call directly.
Go to Tools → Conversions → Create New Conversion Action.
Choose Phone Calls → Calls from Ads using Call Extensions or Call-Only Ads.
Set conversion value (e.g., ₹1000 per call).
Adjust call length (e.g., track calls longer than 30 seconds).
Review targeting, budget, and keywords.
Click Publish Campaign.
Check performance in Campaigns → Ads → Extensions.
Look at:
Call volume
Cost per call
Keywords generating the most calls
Pause low-performing keywords and focus budget on high-converting ones.
